What are the maximum quantities of items allowed on a prescription?
A named patient prescription must contain the required amount of products to treat the individual patient. Any additional stock required by the clinic should either be ordered on a stock basis or additional prescriptions can be supplied for individually named patients. Quantities prescribed should be in accordance with a single patients’ treatment plan. The prescription items belong to the patient, not to the prescriber therefore the prescriber, acting on the patient’s behalf, must ensure that they are acting in the patient’s best interests and obtain the patient’s consent to do so. Prescribers should only prescribe within their area of competence.
How do I submit prescriptions?
We require the prescription before we can dispense any prescription orders.

Please note it is the prescribers’ responsibility to ensure we receive the original prescriptions within 72hrs as per the GPhC guidelines. You can access our prescription template here.

I am not a prescriber. Can I order POMs?
You can order POMs via the website but we will only be able to process the order once a prescription has been received corresponding to the relevant items ordered.
If it is a paper prescription, your prescriber will need to send this to you to email across to us alongside your order number to prescriptions@www.pharmalyfe.co.uk or you can upload the prescription in the checkout area.
If it is an electronic prescription, it will automatically come through to use once your prescriber has correctly filled it out. To prevent any delays with your order, please contact your prescriber prior to ordering.
What is the Cut off time for next day delivery?
All orders placed on the website before 3pm (Monday – Friday) will be sent out for next working day delivery via DPD. This excludes weekend, bank holidays and any other local holidays whereby delivery services may be restricted. All orders are always sent out on a next working day service subject to location. Saturday delivery, which has an additional charge, can be requested if an order is placed on Friday. We use Royal Mail Next Day Saturday Guaranteed for Saturday deliveries. Please select this option if a Saturday delivery is required. Changing the delivery address on the DPD app on the day the parcel is due to be delivered may delay the order in getting to you in time. All cold chain orders placed on Friday are dispatched on Monday unless Saturday delivery is requested. This is to ensure the temperature requirements are maintained throughout the supply chain.
